These clamps feature a high friction tungsten carbide coating on the clamping faces of the jaws. They are an ideal choice when clearly visible clamping marks are not allowed on the workpiece but high friction is still needed. High friction holding can be attained with lower clamping forces making these well suited for thin wall parts that are prone to distort under high loads.
